Saturday, Jan 4th, 11th and 18th,  2 – 4pm

$60 – Members      $75 – Non Members

This workshop explains the principles of the Rasayana or the Rejuvenative treatment of Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy – starting with a new understanding of the energies of the physical body, the subtle body and its chakra system, along with the forces Self-awareness. It will include the practical application of the use of herbs and botanicals, and Soma plants that we can use today. It perhaps uniquely explains the yogic aspect of Soma and rejuvenation, particularly through rejuvenative forms of pranayama, mantra and meditation, not widely taught or understood.

The series is relevant to all Yoga students who are interested in learning or expanding their knowledge of Ayurveda.  It will provide you with a new dimension to your practice and a new model to view well-being in its broader implications. It is essential for anyone seeking to go beyond chemical medicine and access the wellsprings of healing at the core of our own consciousness. After participating in this series, you will look at yourself and the process of healing in an entirely new light.

Gloria Allen has been avidly studying Ayurveda since she was introduced to it through her beginning yoga classes.  Being taught the laws of health and well-being during the early years of her life it was a natural step for Gloria to move into Ayurveda.  Through her Masters of Yoga Teacher Training, Ayurveda was woven into her curriculum.  Learning more Gloria went on to study with the Chopra Center, Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Simon and Dr.David Frawley. Her own journey and experience will provide richness to this workshop.
