What is Pilates?
Pilates, also known as “Contrology”, is a series of mind-body exercises that were developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920’s. Originally designed as a method of rehabilitation, the purpose of these exercises evolved to strengthen the core muscles, abdomen and back. Benefits include improved posture, balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and a heightened awareness of the mind-body connection through breath.

Susie Kramer, RYT 200 approaches the practice of Yoga and Pilates from the perspective of a competitive endurance athlete, seeking a balance of the mind, body and spirit. A former physical education teacher and personal trainer, Susie is a well rounded athlete who loves to empower others to safely step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves. Horseback riding, trail running, hiking, swimming and biking round out her passion to be active in the great outdoors.
